We are responsible for providing you with aftercare instructions and a clean environment. We have taken every precaution to make your piercing and tattoo experience 100% safe and sterile. However, once you leave our establishment it is your responsibility to take care of your piercing to avoid infection!!!
Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
Remove the bandage after 2 hours. Wash with clean fingertips and antibacterial liquid soap 3 to 4 times to remove all blood and plasma from your new tattoo. (We recommend taking a hot shower shortly after getting your new tattoo) Let your tattoo breath for 24 hours, this means do not apply anything to your new tattoo for 24 hours. (This is the plasma stage) After 24 hours, apply one of the following ointments 2 to 4 times a day for 7 to 10 days.

**Ice along with Motrin, Tylenol, or Aleve will help to reduce swelling, pain and discomfort**

- Wash hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing.
- Use a mild soap (Dial or Dove) twice daily. Gently hand wash, rinse and let dry.
- Use a non-iodized sea salt, 1/2 tsp. of sea salt and 8 oz. of lukewarm water. Soak piercing for 3-5 min. -or- soak a cotton ball with the saline to compress the piercing.
Oral Piercing Care
- Use alcohol free mouthwash -or- rinse with non-iodized sea salt solution for 20 to 30 seconds after eating, drinking or smoking.
- Use above piercing instructions for cleaning the outside of your oral piercing.
- Avoid oral sexual contact for 2 weeks.
- Avoid alcoholic drinks containing yeast such as beer or brown liquor for 2 weeks.
What is Normal
- Initial: some bleeding, localized swelling, tenderness or bruising.
- Some discoloration, itching and secretion of a whitish fluid.
What to Avoid
- Avoid use of Rubbing Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Antibiotic Ointment.
- Avoid beauty products on or around the piercing.
- Avoid submerging your piercing in bodies of water, if you plan to swim use a waterproof bandage on the piercing to protect it from bacteria.
